“The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named the former McLouth Steel site in Trenton to its Superfund National Priorities List.
That list is reserved for sites with the most serious or uncontrolled legacy contamination. The contamination on the southern end of the property is from steel-making processes and an acid pickling line operation, according to the EPA.”
“But transitions are never easy,” she said in a statement. “In this case, Trenton relies on the tax base from the plant and we must ensure that communities have the resources they need to provide for an increased quality of life for their residents.”

Trenton beat Livonia Stevenson 3-2 Tuesday night in the State Semi-Finals. They will continue their run to a state championship on Thursday night against Marquette.
This should be a good one. Top 5 ranked Division 2 Trenton and Woodhaven will face off for the Regional Hockey Championship. Puck drops at Kennedy Ice Arena on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
